Marlon Wayans is calling out Elon Musk for disowning his transgender daughter, Vivian Wilson.
During an episode of the “Club Shay Shay” podcast released last week, the comedian, who is also the parent of a trans child, said the tech CEO’s comments about his estranged daughter made Wayans feel like driving his Tesla “over a cliff.”
“I don’t like what he be saying about his trans child,” Wayans told host Shannon Sharpe. “You don’t treat them babies like that, you don’t disown your baby. Love your child!”
The “Scary Movie” star said he’s “proud to say it took me a week” to come to terms with his son Kai Zackery Wayans’ transition.
“And it felt like forever,” he acknowledged. “l’m sad to say some parents, and some family members, and some people, it’ll take them a lifetime.”
The actor and standup comic has been all about acceptance since he first publicly discussed his eldest child’s transition journey during an interview on “The Breakfast Club” last November.
“I just want my kids to be free,” he explained at the time. “I want them to be free and spirit-free and free to be themselves. The more you know yourself, the more you can govern yourself, the more you live your truth, the happier your existence.”
And during a Tuesday interview on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” Wayans made it clear nothing has changed about his love for his child.
He quipped that his son is the “same child they was before — they just got a beard now.”
“OK!” the “White Chicks” actor added. “Same baby.”
Unlike Wayans, Musk doesn’t appear to have come to terms with his daughter’s identity.
The tech billionaire has claimed that allowing children to transition is “incredibly evil,” and this July, he went as far as claiming his child was “killed by the woke mind virus” during an interview with The Daily Wire. (Experts with the American Academy of Pediatrics have said “there is strong consensus among the most prominent medical organizations worldwide that evidence-based, gender-affirming care for transgender children and adolescents is medically necessary and appropriate.”)
Wilson, who jettisoned her father’s surname with a legal name change in 2022, responded in a series of post on Threads afterward, joking: “I look pretty good for a dead bitch.”
In the posts, Musk’s daughter also claimed that she “disowned him, not the other way around.”
